Our owner, Maren Anderson, is known for her love of nature. And we're proud to announce her new eco-retreat in Ridgeville, SC.

Natural Gathering Grounds is presenting Summer Nature Camps for students ages 4 and up from June 24, 2016. Younger children are welcome with parental supervision, parent participation encouraged in weekly camps. Participants can choose full day or week camps, from 10am to 2pm. "Summer time is a perfect opportunity for children to explore their inner naturalist and spend time outdoors while feeding their imagination and maintaining a healthy lifestyle," said director Maren Anderson.

Each day, campers are welcomed to explore the family farm, archery range, walking trails, bird watching, pond investigations and nature center library. With freedom to learn and discover in the open outdoors, children really flourish. Each week we will explore different adventures and age appropriate activities based on our attending campers. Explorers will also create walking sticks, nature journals, rock art, paintings, nature rubbings, and more.

During summer campers will be given the opportunity to explore projects that they can replicate at home with supervision. They will also create crafts while finding that exercise and the outdoors are important for a well- rounded life. Campers will have free time to play, explore, and create in nature.
